Optical Illusion Art SLJ-Charlotte

Below is a screenshot of my optical art on a google drawing from the Art blog on the Summer learning journey page. It is black and white lines being connected together sideways repeating it's formal pattern. I was going to do squares, but I thought I would do something new and unique. Something that I would do. 1. Kia Ora Charlotte,

My name is Zana and I am a blog commenter from the Summer Learning Journey.

I find optical illusions really fascinating as they are 2D shapes drawn to look 3D. I thought you did an awesome job and that your illusion looks great.

I find that to draw optical illusions it is easier if you use a ruler to make all the lines look sharp and use coloured pencils to add shading, like using a bright red for the surface and a dark red for the shadows. Making them online like you did is helpful to as you can use the line features.

To step up your work to the next level you could include a screencastify showing how other people can make their own optical illusions.

Keep up the great work and I hope to see more of your posts over the summer.

    Ngā mihi nui,
    Zana Yates

  2. HI Zana, thanks for commenting on my Optical Art. I was going to do it on paper and take your advice, but I'm not very good at drawing that is why I like to use google drawings to make it a bit easier. I'm glad you like my Optical Art.
