Summer Poem SLJ-Charlotte

An Summer poem is about one of the five senses that gets turned into a poem about Summer. For an example I chose taste. So my poem is about the things I usually eat at the beach during summer when it is the school holidays. I find it very fun. Below here is an screenshot of my summer taste poem. In the background I used summer colours too. (To help match the scene.) Written by Charlotte.

  1. Tēnā koe Charlotte, my name is Fiona and I'm from the Summer Learning Journey team.

What a fantastic poem you have written all about summer senses - ka pai! I really like the summery colours you have used in your background too. You have described some delicious summer tastes in your poem, like eating a juicy strawberry, having a yummy bbq and drinking cold lemonade. Great stuff! Your poem really woke up my taste buds this morning and now I can feel my tummy rumbling!

I really enjoyed this activity; I think sometimes we get so busy and forget to appreciate our five senses and how amazing they are. In summer, I love to feel the soft sand on my feet and the warm sun on my face.

Today is the last day of the Summer Learning Journey. I hope you have enjoyed it! What has been one of your favourite activities this summer?

    Ka kite anō,
    Fiona (SLJ).
